I created this task for an Inspector Calls revision lesson. The learners were asked to write an overview of each character and their key quotes on the back of the cards. There are also revision cards on the plot summary, themes and context for them to fill in. I have also included blank revision cards. This is a task that I have created. Students will use their skills to rewrite an informal letter into a formal letter.

A task sheet for learners in KS2 / KS3.

A worksheet to introduce KS3 or KS4 students to what to initially look for when they first read a poem. There are questions on the sheet to prompt them to read the poem and then answer the questions including: What the poem is about Why certain words and phrases are used What the mood and atmosphere of the poem is Who the narrator of the poem is. I have purposely left out the title of the poem, as I wanted my group to guess what the object ( the mirror) is.

A lesson so learners can understand the five parts of narrative structure. They will read this short story before breaking it down in 5 parts. Following this they will then begin to plan part 2 of this short story.

A fun task that gets learners to draw characters from the writers description and to recognize adjectives.
